STAR Labs mobile research unit
The STAR Labs Mobile Research Unit is a testing facility on wheels, designed to find metahumans by testing subjects’ reflexes and physical abilities. Built to promote the series debut of the CW’s hit series “The Flash”, the Mobile Research Unit was deployed to several locations in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where thousands of subjects underwent rigorous testing.
The Unit featured a variety of interactive pods that measured variables such as pupillary light reflex, speed-reading ability, and high-speed projectile evasion. Other exhibits simulated how the world is perceived by Barry Allen, aka: “The Flash”, as he moves at hyper speed.
All subjects were given an ID card that would track their results across the exhibits, and generated a unique URL with a final scorecard and animated GIFs of the subjects undergoing testing, all of which were shareable on social media.
